Efficient Early-Game Progression Guide
Turn your first seven days into nine clear steps: follow Chapters to unlock systems, then keep construction, Exploration, and hero development moving without wasting Gems or Speedups.

- Key days
What to do in each opening phase
Progress in unlock order. You do not need to learn every system on Day 1.
Complete early goals in this order
Each step explains when it opens, what to prioritize, and where beginners often waste resources.
Open a step for detailed actions. The first two stay open by default so you can start immediately.
Start immediately 01Advance Chapter missions Use Chapters as the shortest route to unlocking systems
Complete the listed construction, upgrade, and basic action goals to earn a steady flow of Gems and resources while unlocking new systems. Avoid upgrading many unrelated buildings early, or your construction queue may be busy when the next Chapter requires it.
- Claim each Chapter chest as soon as it is complete
- Before logging off, start the longest current Chapter task
Progress alongside Chapters 02Prioritize the Furnace and prerequisites Lead with the Furnace and raise prerequisites only as needed
Furnace level controls building and hero caps and unlocks more features. Check the next Furnace requirements, then upgrade only the required buildings. Before approaching Furnace Level 12, check your beginner shield timer and in-game warning so your troops and defenses are ready.
- Never leave the construction queue empty
- Use construction Speedups before paying Gems to finish instantly
After completing Chapter 2 03Build the Hero Hall and recruit Use free attempts and keys first; rerolling is unnecessary
Hero Recruitment provides heroes, shards, and city development materials. Use refreshed free attempts and keep earning keys from missions and events. Early pulls are limited, so restarting an account usually loses more progress than it gains.
- Build the Hero Hall as soon as it unlocks
- Use free attempts before deciding whether to spend keys
After your first Hero Recruitment 04Claim the seven-day login rewards Claim every day so you do not miss a key hero or development materials
Your first recruitment unlocks a seven-day login track. Claim it once per day; it usually includes Molly and hero development materials. Rewards may differ by server event, so check the current event screen.
- Confirm the reward is claimed before each daily reset
- Add the featured hero to your Exploration team immediately
After receiving heroes in Chapter 3 05Push Exploration and collect AFK rewards Clear as far as possible and collect AFK rewards before storage fills
Exploration continuously produces Steel and Hero XP, making it a core early development source. Push to the highest stage your team can clear, then collect AFK rewards before the capacity shown in your game is full.
- When stuck, improve your main team and retry
- Collect AFK rewards several times each day
After Exploration opens 06Focus on one main hero team Invest in five main heroes instead of leveling everyone evenly
Levels, stars, and skills all improve combat performance. Give Hero XP to your Exploration team first. Once Furnace Level 7 unlocks Intel missions, use them as a steady source of shards and skill books. Before spending universal shards, confirm the hero has long-term value.
- Keep your main team near the current level cap
- Save universal shards for long-term heroes
Temporary access is available; the permanent bundle is optional 07Unlock the second construction queue Upgrade two buildings at once to cut early waiting time
A second construction queue lets the Furnace path and its prerequisites progress together. F2P and low-spend players can use a temporary Gem unlock during busy mission periods. If you spend, compare the permanent bundle offered in your region instead of buying it only to rush.
- Put long upgrades in the main queue
- Use the second queue for short prerequisites and resource buildings
After completing Chapter 4 08Advance Main Story missions in parallel Pair them with Chapters to fill gaps in your city
Main Story missions guide you through different building types and provide extra resources. Compare them with your current Chapter goals before upgrading; one upgrade can often complete both and avoid duplicate waiting.
- Check Chapter and Main Story requirements before upgrading
- Claim resources immediately to fund the next objective
Opens after Chapter 4 and usually lasts 7 days 09Complete Survivor Trials Advance milestones daily instead of catching up on the final day
Survivor Trials is a limited early-server growth event covering buildings, heroes, and daily activities. Daily progress gives resources and usually awards Jessie. Follow the duration and final rewards shown on your current server event page.
- Finish tasks that refresh daily first
- Save Speedups for goals that advance both the event and Chapters
Do these six things every day
Make them a routine so your queues and Stamina rarely sit idle.
- 01
Claim Exploration AFK rewards before storage fills
- 02
Keep construction, research, and troop training queues active
- 03
Spend Stamina on Intel or beasts before reaching the cap
- 04
Claim free recruits, login rewards, and Chapter chests
- 05
Use Alliance Help and check the Alliance event schedule
- 06
Keep some Gems and universal shards for high-value events and long-term heroes
Event rewards, shield conditions, and AFK reward limits can change with server age or game updates. Follow the rules and timers shown in your current game.
