Cross-state solo point event
King of Icefield
King of Icefield is a seven-day cross-state scoring event. Spend the right development resources in each daily stage, clear four milestone tiers, and then decide whether the stage and overall rankings justify a deeper push.

What King of Icefield is
The Chinese official encyclopedia places the first run around State week 12, replacing Hall of Chiefs. Actual availability follows State progress; once unlocked, a cycle normally runs from Monday through Sunday with one stage per day.
One independent stage each day
The event has seven stages and each lasts one day. Point tasks and eligible resources rotate daily, and completed milestone rewards should be claimed before that stage closes.
Four milestones and two medals
Each stage normally has four personal point milestones. The final two grant one Medal of Honor each, for a maximum of 14 during a full seven-day cycle.
State and cross-state leaderboards
Stage Personal Ranking settles daily. State Personal Ranking, Cross-State Personal Ranking, and State Ranking settle when the full event ends.
The featured hero rotates
Hero Shards in Medal of Honor and total ranking rewards follow the active hero generation. Do not assume that an older State or previous cycle has the same featured hero.

Four reward tracks
Milestones offer predictable value to every player, while ranking value depends on competition inside your State and across the matched States. Featured Heroes, quantities, and qualifying ranks can rotate.
Daily milestones
Each day normally has four personal point tiers with resources, Speedups, Hero XP, Gems, Fire Crystals, and the daily featured material. Claim completed tiers before the stage ends.
Medal of Honor rewards
The final two daily tiers grant one Medal of Honor each, up to 14 per cycle. Accumulate the required count to claim featured Hero Shards, Universal Island Skin Construction Contracts, and other special rewards.
State personal rankings
Stage Personal Ranking settles daily, followed by State Personal Total Ranking after all seven days. Rewards commonly include Hero Shards, Gems, and Speedups; follow the current qualifying ranks.
Cross-state rankings
Cross-State Personal Ranking and State Ranking settle at event end. High placements can award featured Hero Shards, Fire Crystals, and time-limited Avatar Frames or Nameplates.
Practical preparation and scoring order
King of Icefield rewards resource scheduling, not seven days of indiscriminate spending. Calculate the predictable return first, then reserve scarce materials for a ranking that is still reachable.
- 1
Set milestone targets first
Read all four thresholds when the stage opens and clear your planned tiers with ordinary resources. Commit Mithril or Mythic Shards only when the next milestone or ranking reward justifies them.
- 2
Split stockpiles by day
Fire Crystals score on Days 1, 2, 5, and 7; Hero Shards on Days 2, 3, and 7; Hero Gear materials on Days 2, 4, and 5. Avoid using them on a day when they do not score.
- 3
Use Lucky Wheel on Days 2 and 3
Lucky Wheel spins score on both days. Place your planned spins in those stages and check the Wheel milestones too; do not add spins only for King of Icefield without comparing both reward tracks.
- 4
Calculate training promotions
Days 4 and 6 score by troop tier, while promotion grants only the difference between old and new tier values. Estimate the Speedup and point return before mass training or promotion.
- 5
Use Day 7 gathering for small gaps
Gathering points are low and work best for a nearly completed tier. Marches can leave early, but have them return after Day 7 opens and confirm that points register.
- 6
Test one action before a batch
Task availability and values can follow State progress. Make one small eligible action, confirm the score increase, and only then perform a large ascension, training, or Gear upgrade batch.
Common ways to waste a stockpile
Most losses come from spending an irreversible resource on the wrong day, the wrong task, or an outdated point table.
Following an old State table
Older references show different values for resources such as Mithril, and milestones scale with Furnace level and State age. Use old tables for estimates, never as the final rule.
Counting Gem Speedups
The speedup tasks explicitly exclude Gem Speedups. Confirm that an inventory Speedup is consumed and watch the event score update.
Leaving milestones unclaimed
A daily tier may no longer be claimable after its stage closes. Collect it as soon as the threshold is reached instead of waiting for the full event to end.
Emptying rare materials too early
Cross-state ranks can move throughout the week. Keep flexible resources in reserve and spend near settlement only when the live rank and point gap support the target.
King of Icefield FAQ
These answers cover repeatable rules. The live event instructions and countdown remain final for the current cycle.
How long does King of Icefield last, and how often does it run?
A cycle lasts seven days from Monday through Sunday, with one stage per day. The official overview describes a monthly event, usually on an approximately four-week cadence.
When does King of Icefield first unlock?
The Chinese official encyclopedia places the first run around State week 12, replacing Hall of Chiefs. State progress can vary, so the event calendar is the final availability check.
How many Medals of Honor can I earn?
The final two milestones of each daily stage normally grant one medal each. Across seven days, the maximum is 14, provided you reach and claim every qualifying tier.
Does every State have exactly the same task table?
Not always. Experts, Pets, War Academy, Refined Fire Crystals, Legendary Gear, and high troop tiers unlock with State progress, while tasks and milestone thresholds can be adjusted.
Does troop promotion give points?
Yes. Promotion points equal the destination tier training value minus the original tier training value; they are not the full value of the new tier.
Should I rank or stop at milestones?
Compare the cost of the next milestone first, then the live ranking gap. If the push requires scarce Mithril or Mythic Shards, spend only when the target and reward are clear.
Pre-event checklist
Sort resources by the seven daily task sets before the event begins so you do not spend while searching through a point table.
- Record the task rows, four milestone thresholds, and stage-end countdown shown in your State.
- Hold Fire Crystals, Fire Crystal Shards, Refined Fire Crystals, and construction, research, and training Speedups.
- Hold Hero Shards, planned Lucky Wheel spins, Hero Gear Essence Stones, Exclusive Gear Widgets, and Mithril.
- Hold Advanced and Common Wild Marks, Expert Sigils, Books of Knowledge, and Chief Gear materials.
- Plan training queues for Days 4 and 6, and time Day 7 gathering marches to return after the stage opens.
- Claim milestones and Medal of Honor rewards each day, then update your remaining stockpile.
Unlock conditions, task rows, point coefficients, rewards, qualifying ranks, and settlement times can change with State progress and game updates. The current King of Icefield panel in Whiteout Survival is the final rule set.
